Cyprus National Guard Chief, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, paid on January 3 to 5 an official visit to the Hasemite Kingdon of Jordan, at the invitation of his Jordanian counterpart, Major General Yousef Huneiti, during which the importance of the bilateral defence cooperation programme between Cyprus National Guard and the Armed Forces of Jordan was reaffirmed.
According to a press release issued by the Defence Ministry, the two sides discussed developments in the Middle East and the broader Eastern Mediterranean region, as well as various aspects of the defence cooperation between the two countries` armed forces at the bilateral, trilateral and multilateral level.
