Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou on Monday said that 53% of Cyprus population has been inoculated with the 1st dose of COVID vaccine and 28% has concluded the vaccination scheme, adding that the immunization has led to drop in hospitalizations and in cases among those aged over 60 and especially 70 year old.
Minister, together with EU Commissioner Stella Kyriakides , visited the vaccination center at State International Fair in Nicosia.The Commisioner said in statements that the goal in the EU is to inoculate 70% of the population in the member states by mid-July.
