House President underlines need to maintain strong bonds with Greece and Egypt as part of trilateral cooperation

The importance of the strong bonds between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt were underlined by President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou who received on Wednesday a group of young people from Cyprus, Greece and Egypt who take part in the third phase of the “Nostos IV” Youth Programme, implemented in the framework of the Trilateral Cooperation of the three countries.

An official press release said that Demetriou stressed the significance of strong bonds between the three countries as well as the contribution of the tripartite cooperation in promoting the common goals of peace, stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean.

This cooperation, she said, is even more necessary now, bearing in mind the intensified provocations, including the illegal Turkish actions in the fenced off area of Famagusta.
