House President to address International Higher Education Forum in London

House of Representatives President, Dimitris Syllouris, will travel to London on Tuesday, 26 March, to address the International Higher Education Forum 2019, at the invitation of the organiser, Universities UK International.

The Forum will take place on 27 March at Imperial College, a parliament press release says.

During his stay in London, Syllouris will hold separate meetings with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Brexit, Hilary Benn, the Deputy Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Sir Hugo Swire, the Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Joanna Newman, the Head of Soft Power and External Affairs Department, Communication Directorate at the Foreign Office, Paul Brummell, the head of physical sciences at the UKs Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, Lydia Harriss and the Senior Consultant on Higher Education at the British Council, Almut Caspary.

The President of the House will also meet with the head of the KIOS research centre at the Imperial College, Thomas Parisini.

Syllouris will leave London on Friday 29 March and will travel to Monaco to pay an official visit.
