President of the House of Representatives Demetris Syllouris departs on Sunday for Bratislava, Slovakia, to pay an official visit, at the invitation of Andrej Danko, the Speaker of the National Council (parliament) of the Slovak Republic.
An announcement by the House of Representatives says that during his visit, Syllouris will be received by the country’s Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini and will also have separate meetings with Danko, Defence Minister Peter Gajdos and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Lukas Parizek.
Together with Danko, Syllouris will also inaugurate a photo exhibition at the parliament, to honor the Slovak contingent of the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP).
The National Council Speaker will also host an official lunch in honor of his Cypriot counterpart and will welcome Syllouris during the National Council plenary session. The President of the House of Representatives will also attend a working lunch with the Chairman Eduard Heger and members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Cyprus.
Syllouris will finally visit historic and cultural sites in Bratislava and in the outskirts. He returns to Cyprus on Wednesday.
