House President discusses enhancing relations with new Serbian Ambassador

House of Representatives President Demetris Syllouris and new Serbian Ambassador to Nicosia Marki Blagojevic had a meeting, on Tuesday, and discussed ways to further enhance the already excellent relations between the two countries.

The two men “praised the longstanding excellent ties between the two countries and their parliaments, which are based on the common principled positions and their common commitment to international law,” a House of Representatives press release issued here today, says.

Syllouris expressed the Parliaments and his own willingness to help the new ambassador in any way necessary towards further enhancing the cooperation and the promotion of the close ties between the two parliaments.

On his part Blagojevic expressed Serbias gratitude for the steadfast support of Cyprus on important matters which concern Serbia, including its European course, the press release adds.

He assured that during his term of office he will focus his efforts to further enhancing the already excellent relations between the two countries.
