The Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Yiorgos Lillikas and the members of the Committee, Nikos Tornaritis, George K.Georgiou, Christiana Erotokritou and Costis Efstathiou depart on Monday 8 May for Jerusalem, to participate in the second Tripartite Meeting of Parliamentary Committees of Foreign Affairs of Israel-Cyprus-Greece. The meeting will take place on 9 May and IT is hosted by the Israeli Parliament (Knesset).
A press release issued by the Cyprus Press and Information Office says that at the meeting issues of regional concern, threats to critical infrastructure and their protection, and gas as a component of national security will be discussed. There will also be a presentation of the innovation sector in Israel.
The participants will be welcomed by the President of Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein. The Cypriot delegation will visit the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where it will be received by the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilus III.
