Home for Cooperation has announced on Friday it is accepting registrations for Turkish and Greek language courses for the academic year 2022-2023.
The goal of the courses, according to a press release, is to overcome language barriers and provide a space “where people can meet and learn to communicate, and understand each other.” Language barriers and the lack of opportunities to build personal relationships with people from different communities, it said, are the main challenges that continue to keep the people of Cyprus apart. “The power of communication is a catalyst for meaningful communication and collaboration,” it added.
The language courses at the Home of Cooperation, according to the press release, are taught by experienced teachers, at various teaching levels, suitable for beginners or more experienced participants.
This year, the courses offered are from level A.1.1 to B1.2. The courses will start on September 26, 2022 and end on May 26, 2023.
Applications will be accepted until September 16, while there are limited positions, the press release said.
Registrations and payments can be made online, through the website of the Home of Cooperation, where there is also detailed information about the courses and the registration process: https://www.home4cooperation.info/el/our-work/language-classes/.
The Language Courses programme of the Home for Cooperation is being implemented by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and is funded by the EEA and Norway Grants, through the Active Citizens Fund (2020-2024), the announcement concludes.
