Health Minister to represent Cyprus at EU Council of Health Ministers in Brussels

Health Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, departs for Brussels, to represent Cyprus at the EU Council of Health Ministers (EPSCO), to be held on 9 December.

European Health Ministers will discuss important health-related issues such as investing in health and the well-being economy, which puts people and their well-being at the center of policy and decision-making.

At the same time, the Councils work will focus on strengthening cooperation and coordination, with the aim of improving the access of all European citizens to medicines and the coordinating role that the European Union could play in global health.

The Council meeting will be attended by EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakidou, with whom the Cypriot Minister of Health will hold a bilateral meeting to discuss important health issues.
