Minister of Health Michalis Damianos and WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Kluge, in a virtual meeting, examined ways to coordinate efforts towards emerging challenges.
In a post on ‘X’ platform, on Tuesday, Damianos said ‘the discussion with @hans_kluge, Regional Director of @WHO_Europe, was pivotal in coordinating our efforts with WHO towards emerging challenges’.
He said ‘international cooperation in order to safeguard Public Health is always important and we greatly value our relations with @WHO, for cooperation and sharing expertise between countries in the field of Health’.
On his part, in a post on ‘X’, Kluge said the two discussed ‘priorities including: #mentalhealth strengthening health systems and emergency preparedness AMR accelerating the work of our recently-established @WHO_Europe country office in Cyprus!’
