Greek President in Cyprus for memorial service of Tassos Papadopoulos

President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos will be in Cyprus on Sunday to attend the memorial service of the late President Tassos Papadopoulos.

Pavlopoulos, accompanied by his wife, will be the main speaker at the memorial service which will be held at St Nicholas church in suburban Deftera. He will also lay a wreath at Papadopoulos’ tomb at Kato Deftera cemetery on the outskirts of the capital.

The Greek president will return to Nicosia be received by Archbishop Chrysostomos II at the Archbishopric.

He will also attend a private lunch at the Presidential Palace, hosted in the honour of Pavlopoulos and his wife Vlassia by President Anastasiades and First Lady Andri.
