Greece and Cyprus tourist associations ratify agreement for trilateral cooperation with Israel

An agreement providing for the establishment of a common tourist institution among Greece, Cyprus and Israel, the East Mediterranean Travel and Tourist Agents Associations Synergies (EMTTAAS), has been ratified by the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Tourist & Travel Agencies (FEDHATTA) and the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA).

The agreement was ratified during a meeting at the Greek Ministry of Tourism, in the presence of the Greek Minister Elena Kountoura, FEDHATTA President Lyssandros Tsilidis and ACTA President Ntinos Kakkouras.

According to a press release issued by ACTA, E????AS will promote tourist development in the Eastern Mediterranean and will establish an effective network of synergies among tourist agencies of the three countries in favour of tourism.

It is also noted that the aim is to “unite” the broader region in this tourist project, as more associations will gradually participate in this endeavour.
