Government reiterates support to efforts for the recognition of the Armenian genocide

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and his government have condemned in the strongest terms the appalling crime of the Armenian genocide, reiterating their support to efforts for the recognition of the genocide by the international community.

In a written statement on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian genocide, Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said that this day constitutes a shame for the world history, underlining that the government expresses its unequivocal support and solidarity with the people of Armenia and reiterates its full support to the effort for the recognition of the Armenian genocide by the international community.
