On behalf of Fragrance Du Bois, Johanna Tabuyo, Operations Director in Malaysia, sees the importance of supporting events such as the MEFS 2016. “Ladies-only events such as this not only create a platform that empowers women, but also allows women of different cultures and backgrounds to make connections based on common interests – in this case femininity, fashion, beauty and entrepreneurship. We at Fragrance Du Bois believe that it is important to create brand awareness on these occasions, because we believe in the purchasing power of women, especially when it comes to fashion and luxury brands.”

Promoting the use of sustainable and certified wood is the best way of preventing deforestation, protecting biodiversity, and combatting poverty in the tropical rainforest regions. For the yachting sector (a major user of teak) which strives for excellence and which is already involved in environmental efforts, this is also a way of ensuring that no wood from illegal logging is used.
