On the basis of preliminary estimates for the foreign trade of Cyprus in January 2020, total imports were €699,6 mn as compared to €823,5 mn in January 2019. Imports from other EU Member States in January 2020 were €475,7 mn as compared to €375,7 mn in January 2019. Imports from Third Countries in January 2020 were €223,9 mn as compared to €447,9 mn in January 2019.

Total exports in January 2020 were €220,1 mn as compared to €534,9 mn in January 2019. Exports to other EU Member States in January 2020 were €89,8 mn as compared to €440,3 mn in January 2019. Exports to Third Countries in January 2020 were €130,3 mn as compared to €94,6 mn in January 2019.

Total imports in January 2020 include the transfer of economic ownership of mobile transport equipment (vessels), with total value of €109,0 mn as compared to €305,2 mn in January 2019. Total exports in January 2020 include the transfer of economic ownership of mobile transport equipment (vessels), with total value of €44,8 mn as compared to €409,0 mn in January 2019.
