Foreign Minister travels to London for the Commonwealth Summit

Cyprus Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides is travelling to London later on Monday evening for the Commonwealth Summit. He will be accompanying President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades who flies to the British capital on Tuesday.

Accordign to a press release issued by the Press and Information Office (PIO) on Tuesday the Minister will chair the Commonwealth Ministerial Task Force which will present its report for 2015-2018 on Thursday.

On the same day Christodoulides will hold a meeting with the All Party Parliamentary Group for Cyprus and later he will attend an event organized by the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK and the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

On 18 April, the Foreign Minister will take part in preparatory meetings for the Summit and in the evening will attend a dinner hosted by Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson.

On the sidelines of the Commonwealth Meeting, the Minister will hold separate meetings with the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union David Davies and the Minister of State for Europe and the Americas Sir Alan Duncan. He will also have meetings with his counterparts from Kenya, Singapore and South Africa.

On Friday the Minister will participate in a round table discussion of Foreign Ministers with Intergovernmental and Associated Organizations of the Commonwealth as well as with Civil Society organizations.
