Foreign Minister to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council, in Brussels

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, departs on Sunday, 13 November 2016, for Brussels, where he will participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), to be held on 14 November 2016.

Main issues in the agenda include, inter alia, the recent political developments in Turkey and the Eastern Partnership, while during an unofficial working lunch the Ministers will discuss the latest developments in the Northern Neighbourhood. Moreover, in a joint meeting of the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence, the implementation of the EU Global Strategy on security and defence policy will be discussed.

On Sunday, Minister Kasoulides will attend a working dinner, hosted by the EU High Representative, Mrs Federica Mogherini, on the result of the elections in the USA.

Minister Kasoulides returns to Cyprus on Tuesday, 15 November 2016.
