Foreign Minister in Munich for Security Conference

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides travels to Munich on Thursday to participate in the Munich Security Conference, which begins on Friday.

The Munich Security Conference is held annually since 1963 and is attended by heads of state and government, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence, heads and senior officials of international organisations and NGOs, and experts, analysts and professors specialising in security and international cooperation issues.

Among the issues on the agenda are the challenges and prospects for the EU, transatlantic cooperation, the consequences of the revival of the competitive climate in international relations, cooperation in the defence sector, the control over armaments, and the connection of world trade, technology innovation and climate change with international security.
