FM’s Permanent Secretary briefs Hungarian officials on developments in Cyprus

Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Alexandros Zenon is in Hungary on a working visit, during which he held meetings on Friday with Deputy Foreign Minister Csaba Balogh and Deputy Minister for European Affairs Szabolcs Takacs.

According to an official press release, Zenon briefed his interlocutors on the latest developments in the UN-led Cyprus peace talks, which aim at reuniting the country, divided since the 1974 Turkish invasion, under a federal roof.

They also discussed bilateral relations, the refugee crisis as well as European policy issues especially after the British referendum to exit the EU.
