FM Permanent Secretary holds consultations in Athens ahead of Erdogan’s visit and tripartite meetings

The Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Alexandros Zenon has held consultations with the Secretary General of Greeces Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dimitrios Paraskevopoulos, in Athens.

A press release issued here today said that during the consultations special emphasis was placed on the Cyprus issue and on matters related to Turkey, in view of the forthcoming visit of the Turkish President to Athens.

The two ambassadors also discussed the tripartite partnerships of the two countries with other Eastern Mediterranean countries, ahead of the two tripartite meetings to be held in January in Nicosia, as well as the situation in the Middle East, energy issues, the refugee crisis and Brexit.
