FinMin says IMF recommendations for Cyprus should be noted

Cyprus Minister of Finance Harris Georgiades described the IMF report on Cyprus’ first post-programme monitoring as particularly positive, noting that the Funds recommendations should be noted.

The IMF released earlier the Executive Board’s first Post-Programme Monitoring Discussion.

The IMF report is particularly positive and highlights the notable progress achieved in the last years, Georgiades said in a statement.

He added the report contributes in this way to the further strengthening of investor confidence towards our country and in the improvement of credit rating.

The Cypriot Minister highlighted however that the IMF proposals and recommendations are correct and should be noted.
