EMU Entrance and Scholarship Exam to be Held on 5 June 2017

The Eastern Mediterranean University’s (EMU) Entrance and Scholarship Exam for high school graduates who are nationals of the TRNC or the Republic of Turkey and have graduated upon the completion of their education in an educational institution located in the TRNC after a period of 4 consecutive years of study will be held in Famagusta and Nicosia between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, 5 June 2017. Applications for the exam may be submitted to the EMU Registrar’s Office and EMU’s Application Center in Nicosia as of 22 May 2017. Candidates may also apply for the exam and, at the same time, submit the exam fee during registration taking place within the framework of high school visits.

The exam admission fee is 50 Turkish Lira and can be deposited to EMU’s bank account (100640) at any branch of the Cooperative Central Bank. It can also be paid during application at the EMU Exam Application Center in Nicosia.

During the exam application candidates are required to submit a photocopy of their ID card, a bank statement and 2 passport sized photos. On the exam date, students are advised to be present at the exam venue with their ID cards and exam entrance document by 09:30 a.m. the latest.

Exam Sections and Score Types

The exam will contain Mathematics, Science, Turkish and Social Sciences sections as well as the English Language Test and Visual Skills Test for the departments which require visual abilities.

Candidates are reminded that they should answer all four main sections of the exam. Their scores for Mathematics – Science (MS), Turkish – Mathematics (TM) and Turkish – Social (TS) will be calculated accordingly. Additionally, if the candidates choose to do so, their scores for the English Language (EL), Visual Skills (VS), Music (M) and Sports (SP) sections will be calculated separately.

Special Skills Tests To Be Held Between 29 May – 2 June 2017

Prior to the entrance exam which will be held on 5 June 2017, candidates who wish to study Music Teaching and Sports Sciences are expected to take the said tests between 29 May and 2 June 2017. To schedule a special skills exam, candidates are advised to contact the relevant department and get an appointment, accordingly.
