Employment in Cyprus reaches 68.8% in 2016 for the age group 20-64, says Eurostat

In 2016, the employment rate of the population aged 20 to 64 in the European Union (EU) stood at 71.1%, up compared with both 2015 (70.1%) and its previous peak recorded in 2008 (70.3%). In Cyprus the percentage stood at 67.9% in 2015 and increased to 68.8% in 2016 (73.9% for male and 64.1% for female workers), according to Eurostat.
