Education Minister to participate in the EU Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council, in Brussels

The Minister of Education and Culture, Mr Costas Kadis, has departed for Brussels where will participate in the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council of the EU.

EU Ministers will be invited to discuss the contribution of education and training to social cohesion and the fostering of common European values in the framework of the European Semester 2017.

The Maltese Presidency has identified the topic “Enhancing the socio-economic climate for a better Europe” as the guiding theme for the ministerial debates to be held during its tenure.

On the sidelines of the EU Education Council, Minister Kadis will visit the European School of Brussels III and will hold bilateral meetings with Education Ministers of EU28.
