EC calls Turkey to refrain from friction with its neighbors

Turkey should refrain from friction that could damage good neighborly relations, commented today Maja Kocijianic, Spokeswoman of the European Commission, asked by CNA about the Turkish hostile actions near the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus.

Maja Kocijianic, reiterated the “long standing position of the European Commission that “communication channels should remain open” and that “parties should avoid friction that could damage neighborly relations”. Another EC Spokeswoman Mina Andreeva, hosting today the midday briefing in the EC premises, added that “patience and restrain should be the moto”.
