Deputy Minister of Culture attends UNESCO International Conference in Delphi

Deputy Minister of Culture, Yiannis Toumazis, attended the UNESCO International Conference in Delphi entitled “Next 50: The Future of World Heritage in Challenging Times. Enhancing Resilience and Sustainability”.

In an announcement released by the Press and Information Office (PIO) it is noted that the conference is organised by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports on November 17-18, 2022 at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Convention on World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The conference was addressed by Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Minister of Culture and Sports of Greece, Lina Mendoni.

Also involved are the contracting member states of the World Heritage Committee, representatives of UNESCO and experts from around the world, the press release concludes.
