Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued a yellow thunderstorm warning valid between 2000 to 0500 hours, local time.
According to the warning, isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly the east half of the island and in the areas of storm hail is also likely to fall.
Winds may be variable strengthening and precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour.
