Defense Minister travels to Yerevan for an official visit

Cypriot Minister Defense Savvas Angelides will travel to Yerevan, Armenia, for an official visit at the invitation of his Armenian counterpart, Davit Tonoyan.

According to a press release issued by the Cypriot Ministry, Angelides heading a Ministry delegation will be received tomorrow by Tonoyan and will later hold official talks in the presence of delegations of the two countries.

The talks will focus on bilateral relations and explore ways to further enhancing the ties between the two countries as well as issues of mutual interest.

During his stay in the Armenian Capital, Angelides will be received by the country’s Prime Minister and will also meet with Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Angelides will lay a wreath to the monument for the victims of the Armenian genocide.

The visit takes place in the context of further enhancing and promotion of the excellent relations of the Republic of Cyprus and Armenian on the Defense Ministries level, the press release writes.
