Defence Minister in Brussels for EU Foreign Affairs and Defence session

Cypriot Minister of Defence Savvas Angelides flies to Brussels on Monday to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs and Defence session, during which Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) issues will be discussed.

On the agenda are inter alia issues concerning Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC), Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), European Peace Facility (EPF) and Military Mobility.

The session will continue on Tuesday when the Board of Directors of the European Defence Agency (EDA) will be convened. Furthermore, the Defence Ministers will give political guidance on issues concerning EU-NATO relations, and will evaluate the progress of EU missions and operations in the framework of CFSP.
