The Internal Audit Service of the Republic of Cyprus, as the Audit Authority of the programs co-funded by the EU, in cooperation with the European Commission, is organizing the 29th Annual Meeting of European Auditors of Cohesion Funds (“The Homologue Group”) on 24 and 25 October in Pafos.
This is the annual meeting of all the Audit Authorities of the European Union and according to a press release by the Audit Service, the top executives of the Member States’ Audit Authorities, the Directorates of the European Commission and the European Court of Auditors will participate.
The meeting will be addressed by House of Representatives President Annita Demetriou and will be chaired by Director of the Directorate General for Regional Policy and Urban Development of the European Commission, Franck Sebert, and Internal Audit Supervisor of the Republic of Cyprus Anna Zavou. Other officials will also attend the meeting.
The meeting will discuss issues related to the co-financing of the member states by the European Commission, as well as the control of European programs in the member states. The latest developments regarding the institutional control framework in relation to the co-financed programs are also on the agenda.
