Cyprus students secure prizes and distinctions in AMOPA France competition

Cyprus won a total of ten prizes and accolades during the AMOPA France competition for the French language in which fifteen countries participated.

A press release issued Monday by the Press and Information Office says that students from all the participating countries compete in poetry, composition and short story ( novella). Cyprus students won ten prizes and distinctions compared to eleven won by students from Algeria, nine by students from Canada and eight by Romania.

The students who won first places will be awarded with a three-day trip to Paris and will attend the victory ceremony to take place end of May at the Sorbonne. The rest of the students who won prizes will attend a ceremony to take place in Nicosia in June.
