Cyprus strongly supports the Rhodes Conference initiative, FM said

Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, described the Third Rhodes Conference for Security and Stability as an important initiative, which contributes to the resolution of current challenges of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Speaking to CNA he said the Conference of Rhodes has become an institution, which offers the substantial opportunity to freely exchange views on how we can confront the challenges of our region, through specific actions, steps and collaborations.

Referring to the participation of the Republic of Cyprus at the Rhodes Conference, Minister Christodoulides said that as a state of the Eastern Mediterranean region and also as an EU member state, the Republic of Cyprus strongly supports this initiative.

We strongly believe that the Rhodes Conference will offer added value to EU and to the region states, also contributing to the dealing of current challenges, the FM added.
