Cyprus reports one death from COVID-19, 91 new cases, 115 patients are in hospital

 Authorities in Cyprus announced on Saturday that one woman passed away from COVID-19 while 91 new cases were detected. The positivity rate stands at 0.15%. At the same time, 115 patients with COVID-19 are in hospital, 44 of whom in a serious condition.

The deceased was 95 years-old and passed away at Nicosia General Hospital. The number of deaths has reached 353; 234 men (66%) and 119 women (34%). The median age of the deceased is 77.5.

The number of cases reported in Cyprus since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 71,836.

In total, 61,609 tests were carried out across Cyprus by PCR and antigen rapid test.

One hundred and fifteen patients with COVID-19 are in hospital, 44 of whom in a serious conditions; 28 are intubated and another two are treated at ICUs but without the help of a ventilator; 14 are treated in an ACU.
