Cyprus records trade deficit of about Euros 400 million in February

Cyprus recorded a trade deficit of about Euros 400 million in February 2018 an increase of 18.1% compared to February 2017, preliminary data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Tuesday, show.

On the basis of preliminary estimates for foreign trade of Cyprus this February, total imports were Euros 610.4 million, of which Euros 410 million were imports from other EU member states and Euros 200.4 million imports from third countries.

Total exports were Euros 186.3 million of which Euros 75.3 million were exports to other EU member states and Euros 111 million exports to third countries.

According to the preliminary estimates the trade deficit was this February Euros 424,055 compared to Euros 385,985 in February 2017.
