Cyprus records negative trade balance in the beginning of 2017

Cyprus exports stood at 0.7 bln euro in the period from January to April 2017, dropping by -28%. Exports to the EU stood at 0.3 bln, declining by -55% and exports to the rest of the world amounted 0.4 bln increasing by 21%. At the same time, total imports stood at 2.4 bln euro, recording thus a negative trade balance of -1.6 bln.
