Cyprus President to meet FM of Jordan on Thursday in Nicosia

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, will meet on Thursday, at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, with the Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Al Safadi.

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, will meet on Thursday, at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, with the Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Al Safadi.

Director of the President’s Press Office, Andreas Iosif, said in a written statement that their meeting will take place at 1900 local time and that Anastasiades and Safadi will discuss bilateral relations and the regional situation, with the aim of securing stability in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Moreover, on Friday, May 20, at 1100, the President will preside over a meeting at the Presidential Palace with the Ministers of Finance, Labour, and Energy and the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, to examine ways of addressing inflationary tendencies due to the war in Ukraine.

Iosif also said that the President will present during the next days the government’s work as regards the welfare state and a society with no exclusions, in connection to the reforms, the policies and the development projects, worth more than 315 million Euros, which the government has planned, in the framework of the “Cyprus – Tomorrow” project, adding that there are also projects and policies which are not included in this project.
