Cyprus President pays Georgia first ever official visit

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, is paying Georgia an official visit, the first by a Cyprus President, between 17 and 18 April.

President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, accompanied by first lady Andri Anastasiades and Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulids, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou, and Cypriot ambassador to Georgia, based in Athens, Kyriakos Kenevezos as well as other officials, travels to Tbilisi on Tuesday, for an official visit, a presidency press release says.

On Wednesday, he will be officially received at the Presidential Palace by Georgias President Salome Zourabichvili. The two Presidents will have a tA�te-A�-tA�te meeting, followed by consultations between the extended delegations of the two countries.

Anastasiades and Zourabichvili will then make statements to the media.

President Anastasiades will then lay a wreath at the Soldiers Memmorial in Heroes Square.

He will have a meeting with the countrys Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, who will later host a lunch in his honour.

In the afternoon of the same day, Cyprus President will have a meeting with Georgias Parliament President Irakli Kobakhidze.

In the evening, Zourabichvili will host an official dinner in honnour of President Anastasiades.

On Thursday morning President Anastasiades will address a business forum organised by the two countries chambers of commerce.

He will then have a meeting with Georgias Pariarch ?lia II, Cathalicos.

President Anastasiades will also have a meeting with Cypriot observers, members of an EU monitoring mission in Georgia.

He returns to Cyprus on Thursday afternoon.
