Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has met, in Madrid, with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and has expressed the wish that his visit will further strengthen the already excellent relations between the two countries.
“The President was accompanied at the meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Ioannis Kasoulides and the Government Spokesman Mr Nikos Christodoulides,” a Press and Information Office (PIO) press release issued here today says.
In a message he wrote in the Visitors’ Book of the Moncloa Palace President Anastasiades thanks the President of the Government of Spain for his warm welcome at the Moncloa Palace.
“I hope that this visit will further strengthen the already excellent relations between Cyprus and Spain for the benefit of our people as well for the benefit of the European Union where they both belong,” he notes.
“May our cooperation, based on friendship, common values and mutual respect, continues to grow into the future,” he adds.
