Cyprus-Poland enhance cooperation in environmental issues

Cyprus and Poland will further enhance their cooperation in environmental issues, the Environment Minister Costas Kadis and the Ambassador of Poland Irena Lichnerowicz-Augustyn have decided.

Kadis met on Thursday with the Ambassador who recently assumed duties in Cyprus.

During the meeting they also discussed the Ministers participation in the COP24 to take place in Katowice, Poland, next month.

Kadis pointed out that Cyprus supports the introduction of policies which will tackle the huge issue of climate change. He also told the Ambassador that Cyprus is willing to cooperate with Poland in issues related to agriculture and agriculture policy and food production within the framework of the EU and in other fora.
