Cyprus parliamentarians to attend conferences in Brussels

A delegation of the Cyprus parliament is travelling to Brussels to attend the European Parliamentary Week, the European Semester Conference 2018 and the Interparliamentary Conference on Stability, Economic Coordination and Governance of the European Union. The delegation comprises MPs Stephanos Stephanou, Eleni Stavrou and Elias Myrianthous.

According to a press release issued by the parliament, the Conferences are co-organized by the European Parliament and the Bulgarian Presidency and will be held on February 19 and 20.

Issues related to the priorities of the European Semester, the Multiannual Financial Framework, the EU fiscal policy and taxation, banking union, monetary union and the role of the national Parliaments will be on the agenda of the Conferences.

EP President Antonio Tajani, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, Bulgarian National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva, Eurogroup President Mario Centeno, the EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labor Mobility Marianne Thyssen and Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources Gunther H. Oettinger will attend the Conferences.
