Cyprus Parliament organises a Conference on the Fourth Industrial Revolution

The Cyprus House of Representatives organises on June 22, 2017, a Conference titled “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Perspectives and Dangers”. Academics, scientists and researchers from Cyprus and Greece will provide speeches and presentations in the Conference.

According to a press release, issued by the House of Representatives, House President Demetris Syllouris with the organisation of the Conference aims to initiate a dialogue with the relevant bodies, the businesses, the scientific community, the trade unions and the civil society on the very important issue of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The closing ceremony of the conference will be held on Thursday June 22 in the evening, and will be addressed by Demetris Syllouris and the Academician, awarded with the Turing 2007 Award Dr. Joseph Sifakis.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution was the main issue of the World Economic Forum in January 2016, and according to Klaus Schwab, founder and Executive President of the World Economic Forum, the Revolution is the blending of technologies from the natural, digital and biological world, that creates entirely new possibilities and will have a huge impact on political, social and economic systems.
