Cyprus’ new Ambassador to Lithuania presented his credentials

The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Lithuania, stationed in Poland, Mr Petros Kestoras, presented his credentials to the President of that country, Ms Dalia Grybauskait?, during a ceremony held on 29 March 2017 at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius.

During a private meeting after the credentials’ ceremony, the Lithuanian President underlined the friendly relations between the two countries, conveying her government’s will to reinforce and deepen bilateral ties even further. She also noted Lithuania’s support for Cyprus’ reunification, on the basis of UN resolutions.

For his part, Ambassador Kestoras briefed President Grybauskait? on the Cyprus problem, pointing out Cyprus’ readiness and determination to see the resumption of the peace process in order to achieve a comprehensive settlement the soonest possible.
