Cyprus MPs to attend Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in Bucharest

Cyprus Parliamentarians travel to Bucharest, Romania, to participate in the 12th Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Plenary Session (PAM).

An announcement issued on Tuesday says that the delegation comprises MPs Yiorgos Georgiou (AKEL), Yiorgos Georgiou ( DISY), Christos Orphanides (AKEL) and Charalambos Theopemptou (Cyprus Greens).

MP Kyriakos Hadjiyianni will be attending as the Rapporteur for the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE.

Issues related to terrorism, the political developments in the Mediterranean, climate change, trade and investments, migration crisis and cultural heritage are on the agenda of the PAM Session.

MP Theopemptou, will present a report on the role of the Parliamentarians in combating climate change. The Plenary will adopt a resolution on the matter.
