Cyprus is looking forward to the continuation of Hungary`s firm support on the Cyprus issue and of putting pressure on Turkey to terminate its occupation in the island, to respect international law and to restore the human rights of all Cypriots, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, House Speaker Annita Demetriou said on Thursday.
Speaking during a luncheon she hosted for the speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszlo Kover, who is paying Cyprus a visit, Demetriou said that the Greek Cypriot side remains focused on the aim of resumption of the peace talks on the basis of the agreed framework set by the UN for a just and viable solution. She said that Cyprus` reunification in conditions of peace, security and stability is a priority for us because it will open the road for a more peaceful and hopeful future for the generations to come.
