Cyprus House President wraps up on Friday his meetings in Beijing and travels to Shenzhen

Cyprus House President Demetris Syllouris and the delegation accompanying him during his visit to China wrap up on Friday morning their contacts in Beijing with a meeting with the President of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Yang and will then travel to Shenzhen city.

The Cypriot delegation visited on Thursday afternoon, at the Chinese capital, the exhibition on the Great Achievements of the People’s Republic of China since its establishment, 70 years ago, and the Temple of Heaven. They also attended a dinner hosted by the Embassy of Cyprus to China.

After their arrival to Shenzhen, Syllouris and the rest members of the delegation will have on Friday afternoon a meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress Luo Wenzhi.

The delegation who is paying a visit to China at the invitation of the National People’s Congress arrived in China on November 4. Their first stop was the city of Shanghai were, among others, they attended the opening of the 2nd China International Import Expo. After Shenzhen they will visit Guangzhou and will return home on November 13.

The delegation comprises MPs Nicos Tornaritis, Yiorgos T. Georgiou, Christakis Tziovanis, Yiorgos Prokopiou, Elias Myrianthous and Michalis Giorgallas. Member of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency Board of Directors Nicolas Theocharides will participate in the delegation. A group of Cypriot entrepreneurs will accompany the House President and the delegation in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
