Cyprus Health Ministry announced on Tuesday the deaths of 3 COVID-19 patients and 2,546 new coronavirus cases, while 223 patients are treated in hospital, 71 of them in a critical condition. The positivity rate stands at 2.56%.
The total number of people who have lost their lives of COVID-19 is now 716, while the number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 241,319.
A percentage of 73.43% of the COVID-19 patients who are currently in hospital have not been vaccinated.
Moreover, 25 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be contagious are still treated in a critical condition due to COVID-19 in an Intensive Treatment Unit and are intubated.
A total of 99,308 tests were carried out using the PCR method (6,465) and antigen rapid tests (92,843).
