Cyprus growth rate in Q4 the highest in the last nine years

Cyprus growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2017 accelerated to 4.0% marking the highest growth since the second quarter of 2008, according to data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat).

According to flash estimate by Cystat, the 2017 growth rate is calculated at 3.9% marking the highest growth rate in the last 10 years.

Seasonally adjusted growth rate in Q4 amounted to 3.9%.

The increase of the GDP growth rate is mainly attributed to the sectors: “Hotels and Restaurants”, “Retail and Wholesale Trade”, “Construction”, and “Manufacturing”, Cystat said.
