Cyprus FM discussed Cyprus issue with Greek Alternate Foreign Minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Christodoulides met today Greek Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougkalos, at the fringes of the Trilateral Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus-Greece-Palestine.

During their meeting, Christodoulides and Katrougkalos discussed the developments on the Cyprus Issue, the topic of energy planning, and also the tripartite coalitions of Greece and Cyprus.

Minister Christodoulides briefed Minister Katrougkalos on the meetings of the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Cyprus, Jane Hall Lute, in Cyprus, including the meeting she will have tomorrow with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades. Christodoulides also informed Katrougkalos about Nicosia’s decision to host the Permanent Secretary of Trilateral Coalitions.

EU-Turkish relations were also at the center of the discussion of the two Ministers, with special emphasis on Ankara’s steps towards its European prospect. The agenda of the Trilateral Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus-Greece-Jordan, which will take place on Wednesday in Cyprus, was also one of the topics discussed by the two Ministers.
