The Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued on Thursday a yellow warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms, which are likely to affect mainly the west part of the island, at times. The warning is valid from 14.00 until 23.00 on Thursday (local time).
In that case, precipitation rates are expected to range between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour, while hail is also likely, the announcement concludes.
