The 50 years of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and China were underlined during a videoconference House President Annita Demetriou had on Wednesday with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People`s Congress, Li Zhanshu.
Demetriou congratulated Li on the 72nd anniversary from the foundation of People`s Republic of China and they both referred to the excellent bilateral relations based on mutual support and solidarity on issues of interest for each country.
House President thanked Li on China`s support as regard the Cyprus problem, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
